After purchasing your residential flagpole, it is time to install it! It
requires considering lots of things for the right flying of your flag.
Step 1: Choosing the right location
choosing the location of your flagpole, trees that will continue
growing, underground and overhead lines, lighting and so on. Analyzing all such
things will let your flag fly freely without hiring any Flagpole Climbing.
Step 2: Assembling the Flagpole
Once you have selected the down pat location for your flagpole, it's
time to assemble the flagpole. Assembling flagpole includes the following
things:
1.Unwrap the flagpole shaft
2.Attach the top truck unit
3. Then, screwball into the truck unit
4. Now, thread halyard through the pulley and tie it
5. Further, attach the cleat
6. Finally, install the flag snaps on the halyard
Now, you are done to install your flagpole! But, you still need
something. Here is a list that you will need for installing it.
l Shovel for digging
l Level
l Tape Measure
l Mixed Concrete
l Wooden Ships
l Sand
Flash Collar as an optional instrument
Step 3: Consideration, Analysis and Measurement
Start by digging a hole at the appropriate location that you have chosen
earlier. The depth and width should be determined according to the size of the
flagpole you have. In general, the dig should be 10% of the height of the flagpole. For
example -a 25' flagpole will need a hole 2.5' deep dig to hold. You should also
consider a lot of other things such as the rain, wind speed, and weather in
general. The rain and wind ruin the color, beauty, and print of the flag.
Moreover, you should keep in mind the type of flagpoles such as an aluminum
flagpole, wooden flagpole, or fiberglass. It will help you choose the right
installation type and way. Now, follow these steps for installation.
Step 4: Installation
Insert Ground Sleeve in center of the hole. Then, pour wet concrete in
and around the ground sleeve which should be 1” above the concrete level.
Later, use a level to plumb the sleeve. Then, put a flash collar on the
flagpole. Place the base of the flagpole into the sleeve. Then, walk flagpole
up until dropped completely into the ground sleeve.
Ground Sleeve should be larger in diameter than flagpole's diameter. You
can use wooden shims and level to ensure your flagpole. Pour dry sand into the
sleeve between pole and sleeve until full. It will help secure the
flagpole in a right way. Now, fly your flag with pride!
